This stunning book was published by George Newnes Ltd in 1900 and contains William Shakespeare's King Henry V and King Henry VI Parts I and II...It is volume vi in what would originally have been a complete set of Shakespeare's work.
The book is bound in blue cloth with stunning gilt decoration to the front board and spine. It's in good condition, but there is some subtle water damage to the boards which has caused slight warping and air bubbling. There is minor marking to the cloth and light sunning to the spine, with rubbing to the spine ends and edges.
Inside, there is staining to the endpapers from the water damage but otherwise the pages are clean and bright with light age toning.
Dimensions approximately 15.7cm x 10.5cm x 1.9cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned paper and string. The bubble wrap I use is 100% biodegradable and the jiffy bags are recyclable.
Where possible, I use 100% recyclable paper tape, but sometimes I have to use clear plastic tape for extra strength.
