This beautiful vintage edition of This and That by Mrs Molesworth was published by Macmillan and Co in 1899. It's bound in bright orange cloth (an unusual colour for the Victorian era) and features art nouveau decoration in black to the front board and spine. It's a very eye catching binding.
It's in very good condition, with only light wear to the corners and minor marking to the cloth. The spine is lightly sunned and marking, with crushing to the spine ends. There is also some bumping to the bottom edge of the back board.
Inside, the endpapers are tanned and there is a name and date written on the title page (this has leaked ink onto the tissue guard). The pages show light age toning and sporadic foxing throughout. The book features beautiful black and white plates by Hugh Thomson which add to the charm of this volume.

The book will be hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
