This antique edition of Queen Victoria Her Life and Reign was published by S W Partridge and Co in 1886. The book is bound in original red cloth over bevelled boards, with pictorial and gilt decoration to the front board and spine. It's in good condition but there is some marking and soiling to the red cloth, including two small splash marks to the front board which has bleached the cloth. There is wear to the corners and foxing to the text block edges. The spine ends are crushed.
Inside, the front free endpaper has been removed so the book opens onto the half title page. There is also a bookseller's sticker in the bottom corner of the front pastedown. The pages show foxing throughout, with other more occasional marks in places. There are also cracks to the gutter (and rusty staples can occasionally be seen at the gutter) but the pages remain tightly bound.
Dimensions approximately 19cm x 13cm x 2.5cm.
All books purchased will be hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
