This beautiful and rare edition of Andrew Lang's Yellow Fairy Book was published by The Folio Society in 2008. Sadly it no longer has it's slipcase.
The ever popular Fairy Books were brought to the modern reader's notice when Folio Society brought out these stunning bindings of Andrew Lang's collectable works.
The book is in excellent condition with minimal wear. There are some very faint marks to the text block edges.
Inside there are no inscriptions or dedications, and the pages are clean and bright with minimal wear.
The book features beautiful illustrations (both colour plates and black and white line drawings) by Danuta Mayer which add to the atmosphere of this popular read.
Dimensions approximately 25cm x 19.5cm x 5.6cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and ribbon.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
