This beautiful edition of By the Path of the Storm by Dorothy Baird was published by the Religious Tract Society. The book itself is undated but I've seen books in this binding before with inscriptions and they usually date from the early 20th century (circa 1910's). It is bound in blue cloth, with beautiful pictorial decoration to the front board and spine.
It's in very good condition with just light wear to the corners and foxing to the text block edges. The boards show minor marks and discolouration and the spine is sunned, with rubbing to the spine edges and crushing to the spine ends.
Inside, a presentation plate has been removed from the front pastedown and there is tanning to the endpapers. The rest of the pages show light age toning and sporadic foxing.
Dimensions approximately 20.2cm x 14cm x 4cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
