This beautiful edition of The Sacrifice of Catharine Ballard An Old Time Story by Sydney Watson was published by Drummond's Trace Depot. The book is undated but there is a written name inside dated 1907. So the book is likely to be from the Edwardian era.
This stunning book is bound in brown cloth with beautiful floral decoration and gilt to the front board and spine. It's in near fine condition, but please note that the book has a smoky odour. There is rubbing to the corners and crushing to the spine ends. There is some minor air bubbling to the cloth covering the back board.
Inside, there is a written name on the half title page and a written number in the top corner of the FFEP. The pages show age toning throughout, with occasional marking and creasing.
Dimensions approximately 19.1cm x 13.4cm x 2cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
