This beautiful edition of Our Friends in Paradise was published by Wells Gardner Darton and Co in 1885. The book is bound in grey cloth with beautiful floral decoration to the front board and spine.
It's in very good condition but there is wear and crushing to the corners and the board edges are rubbed and lightly bumped. There is a small chip to the cloth along the bottom edge of the front board. The boards show minor marks and soiling and the spine is sunned. Crushing to the spine ends has caused some splitting and fraying in the cloth.
Inside, the pages show age toning and there is occasional foxing, most noticeably to the first few and last few pages. Please note that some names and dates have been filled in.

The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
