This beautiful edition of Wilful Cousin Kate by LT Meade was published by W & R Chambers Ltd in 1905. So the book is from the mid Edwardian era.
The book is bound in red cloth over bevelled boards, with striking pictorial decoration and gilt to the front board and spine. It's in very good condition but the book does show a slight forward lean. There is foxing to the text block edges and crushing to the spine ends. The back board has minor marking and soiling.
Inside, there are no inscriptions and the pages just show sporadic foxing. The text is clear and bright. The book features beautiful black and white illustration plates by W Rainey.

The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
