This beautiful edition of Heroines of the Cross by Frank Mundell was published by The Sunday School Union. The book itself is undated, but I'd estimate it to be from circa 1900.
The book is bound in orange cloth with pictorial detail to the front board and spine. It's in good condition but there is fading to the spine and minor marking to the boards. There is rubbing to the corners and minor marking to the text block edges.
Inside, there is a name written on the front free endpaper alongside a pencil price. There is staining to the endpapers and the pages show age toning and foxing throughout. There is cracking to the gutter in places but no loose pages.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
