This lovely edition of Winter Words in Various Moods and Metres by Thomas Hardy was published by Macmillan and Co in 1928. What makes this particular copy interesting is that the majority of the pages are uncut along the top edge - which means no one has read this book in almost 100 years! It also still has it's original dust jacket which is lovely to see.
It's in very good condition with just light wear and tear to the edges of the DJ. The spine is marked and darkened. Underneath the DJ, there is light bumping to the board edges and corners.
Inside, the pages show light age toning in places but are otherwise clean and bright. As mentioned above, the majority of the pages are uncut along the top edge.
Dimensions approximately 19.7cm x 13.5cm x 2.5cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubbled wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
