This lovely vintage edition of Sara Crewe and Edith's Burglar by Frances Hodgson Burnett was published in 1969 by William Heinemann Ltd. It's a facimile on the first edition, originally published in 1888.It still has it's original dust jacket.
It's in very good condition but there is some wear and tear to the edges and corners of the DJ. The spine is lightly faded and there are some minor marks to the covers of the DJ. Underneath the DJ, the book shows some wear to the corners and tail of the spine, with some loss to the surface blue.
Inside, the DJ has been clipped but there are no inscriptions. The pages are clean and bright with minimal age toning.
There are beautiful black and white illustration plates throughout the book. Dimensions approximately 21cm x 14.8cm x 2.2cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
