This beautiful antique edition of The King's Highway or Illustrations on the Ten Commandments was published by Gall and Inglis. The book itself is undated but I've seen other titles in this binding with inscriptions and they date from the end of the Victorian era (circa 1890's).
The book is bound in green cloth with stunning floral decoration to the front board and spine. It's in very good condition with minor bumping to the board edges and to one corner. The cloth shows minor marking and rubbing, and the spine is showing faint sunning. There is crushing to the spine ends and minor marks to the text block edges.
Inside, there are no inscriptions and the pages are tightly bound. There is light age toning to the pages and discolouration to the endpapers. The book has occasional black and white illustrations.
Dimensions approximately 19.4cm x 13.4cm x 2.3cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string. The bubble wrap I use is 100% biodegradable and the jiffy bags are recyclable.
Where possible, I use 100% recyclable paper tape, but sometimes I have to use clear plastic tape for extra strength.
