This beautiful edition of The Self Willed Prince is A Fairy Tale Retold in Short Words by Rev F E Paget. It was published by Wells Gardner Darton and Co in 1916.
The book is bound in beige cloth with pretty pictorial decoration to the front board and spine. It's in very good condition with just light rubbing to the corners decoration and wear to the corners. The cloth shows minor marks and there is some loss to the surface of the cloth near the top of the back board.
Inside, there is a written inscription on the front free endpaper and the endpapers are toned. The pages are clean and bright but do show scattered marks and fingermarks. Some of the page edges are a bit jagged as if they've been separated by hand and some of the top corners have been dog eared by a previous reader which has left creasing behind.
The book features both colour plates and black and white line drawings within the text.

The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
