This stunning antique edition of Treasure Island and Kidnapped by RL Stevenson was published by Cassell and Company in 1907. The book is bound in red cloth with pretty gilt decoration to the spine.
It's in very good condition, with only light wear and crushing to the corners and sunning to the spine. There is bumping to the board edges and foxing to the text block edges. The back board shows some marks.
Inside, the pages show occasional foxing but are otherwise clean and bright. The book still has it's original bookmark listing the first 50 titles Cassell published in this series.
Dimensions approximately 18.8cm x 11.8cm x 2.3cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string. The bubble wrap I use is either oxo-degradable (pale green in colour) or upcycled from deliveries I've had (this is clear and fully recyclable). The jiffy bags are recyclable.
Where possible, I use 100% recyclable paper tape, but sometimes I have to use clear plastic tape for extra strength.
