This pretty edition of Kings in Exile by Alphonse Daudet was published in 1902 by JM Dent and Sons. It features a full leather binding with blind stamped flowers in gilt to the spine. They look very like fuchsias.
It's in very good condition with the main flaw being the fading and discolouration The covers show light scuffing and marking and there is wear to the board edges and corners. There is foxing to the text block edges.
Inside, there are no inscriptions and the pages show light age toning and foxing - the foxing is most prominent in the margins and to the page edges. Dimensions approximately 15.2cm x 10cm x 2cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned paper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
