This attractive edition of Stories from Homer The Iliad and The Odyssey by Professor AJ Church was published by Seeley and Service. The book is undated but I'd estimate it to be early 20th Century. It's in publisher's original cloth; the book is bound in red cloth with pictorial decoration to the front board and spine.
***Please note that the book has quite a strong smoky odour and significant foxing to the text block edges***
Other than the condition points above, there are only some minor marks to the cloth
Inside, the foxing continues all the way through the book. There is a small label in the bottom corner of the front pastedown. The book is filled with illustration plates which add to the charm of this antique volume.
Dimensions approximately 20cm x 14cm x 3.3cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
