This beautiful edition of The Romance of Modern Mining by Archibald Williams was published by Seeley and Co in 1907. It's in publisher's original cloth; the book is bound in grey blue cloth with pictorial decoration to the front board and spine.
It's in good condition but there is significant discolouration to the back board and minor sunning around the edges of the front board. There is foxing to the edges of the text block and fading to the spine. Crushing to the spine ends has caused minor splitting in the cloth.
Inside, the endpapers are tanned; the rest of the pages show light age toning and sporadic foxing.
Dimensions approximately 20cm x 14.8cm x 5.2cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubbled wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
