This beautiful antique edition of The Testament of Beauty by Robert Bridges was published by Oxford Clarendon Press in 1934. It's bound in quarter Morocco with marbled paper boards. There is gilt tooling to the spine. Top edge gilt.
It's in very good condition but there is wear to the corners and board edges which has caused minor loss to the surface of the paper. The spine is sunned with light wear to the spine ends.
Inside, the endpapers are marbled and there is a written inscription name and date on the verso of the FFEP. There is also a name plate glued to the half title page and some rubbed out pencil numbers. The pages show light age toning and occasional foxing.
Book dimensions approximately 18.7cm x 12.8cm x 2cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
