This stunning book was published by George Newnes Ltd in 1901 and contains William Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice, As You Like It, Taming of the Shrew and All's Well That Ends Well...It is volume iii in what would originally have been a complete set of Shakespeare's work.
The book is bound in blue cloth with stunning gilt decoration to the front board and spine. It's in very good condition, with just light wear to the corners and minor marks to the boards. The spine is faintly sunned with crushing to the spine ends.
Inside, there are no inscriptions but there are occasional annotations in pencil to the margin. The pages show light age toning throughout and there is a small tear to the bottom of one of the preliminary blank pages.
Dimensions approximately 15.7cm x 10.5cm x 1.9cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned paper and string. The bubble wrap I use is 100% biodegradable and the jiffy bags are recyclable.
Where possible, I use 100% recyclable paper tape, but sometimes I have to use clear plastic tape for extra strength.
