This striking French edition of Le Fabuliste des Enfans et Des Adolescens ou Fables Nouvelle was published in 1812 - so the book is from the Georgian era. It features a full leather binding with gilt detail to the boards and gilt tooling to the spine. The spine also features five raised bands.
It's in very good condition but there is some slight wear and crushing to the corners, as well as minor marks and scuffs to the boards. The spine is a little sunned, with minor chipping to the surface of the leather.
Inside, there are marbled endpapers and the pages show age toning throughout. There is staining to quite a lot of the pages but the text is still readable; there is also occasional foxing. The book features black and white illustration plates.
The book measures approximately 17cm x 10.6cm x 2.3cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string. The bubble wrap I use is 100% biodegradable and the jiffy bags are recyclable.
