It features a whole collection of advertisments for businesses in France (mostly Paris) that would be a useful reference book for Newlyweds and Married Couples. There are also chapters guiding people through the various stages of Marriage, with advice and encouragement. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt was published in Paris in 1885 and features a full leather binding, with gilt decoration to the boards and spine. The spine also features five raised bands and the tinted text block edges have stunning gilt gauffered stars. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt's in near fine condition, with light marking and soiling to the leather. The spine is slightly darkened and there is some rubbing to the gilt on the back. There is fading and discolouration to the text block edges which would all have originally been blue with gilt gauffered stars. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eInside, there are gilt inner dentelles and marbled endpapers. The pages show age toning throughout with occasional foxing. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDimensions approximately 20.5cm x 17.7cm x 3cm. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and ribbon.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable.
