It features a whole collection of advertisments for businesses in France (mostly Paris) that would be a useful reference book for Newlyweds and Married Couples. There are also chapters guiding people through the various stages of Marriage, with advice and encouragement. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt was published in Paris in 1887 and features a full cream cloth binding (designed to look like leather), with gilt decoration to the boards and spine. The blue tinted text block edges have stunning gilt gauffered stars. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt's in very good condition, with light marking and soiling to the binding. There is light fading and discolouration to the text block edges and bumping to the page edges has caused the pages to fold in on themselves. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eInside, there are marbled endpapers; the book contains the original editor’s letter (tucked loosely inside) and some pencilled writing to one of the preliminary pages. The pages show age toning throughout with occasional foxing. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDimensions approximately 20.5cm x 17.7cm x 3cm. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and ribbon.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable.
