The text block edges are marbled and the spines feature five raised band and gilt tooling.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThey're in good condition but there is quite heavy wear and sunning to the spines. all five volumes show a pronounced backwards lean, and there is wear to the corners and board edges causing minor loss to the surface of the paper and leather. The boards show scuffs and scratches, with occasional chips. A split is just starting to the top of volume five’s front joint.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eInside, each volume has a name in pen to the verso of the front free endpaper, alongside a number. The pages show quite heavy foxing in places. There are occasional cracks to the gutter but no loose pages.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEach flower is illustrated in colour by Hulme and described in detail, including its habitat and medicinal use. There were eventually nine volumes, the last of which was published posthumously. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDimensions of each volume is 19.75m x 13.5cm.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe books will arrive securely wrapped in bubble wrap, patterned wallpaper and ribbon.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable.
