The book is bound in full embossed leather with a floral design, all edges gilt. There are several dates in the book and most of the writing is from the 1850's. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere is some loss to the spine ends and there is rubbing and loss to the surface of the board edges and corners. The boards also show some wear and chipping.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eInside, the majority of pages have been filled with writing - sonnets, verse and letters. There are also some printed plates that have been tucked inside (some of landscapes and others of fashionable ladies). The binding thread is showing at the gutter in places and one page is loose. There is age toning and heavy foxing in places. I haven’t been able to make out all the writing but it looks like friends wrote in the book for Betsey.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDimensions approximately 19.2cm x 15.3cm x 1.3cm. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned paper and ribbon.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eI use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable.
