The book belonged to Emma Bolton and is dated 1860. So it's from the early to mid Victorian era. It's full leather but as can be seen from the photos, the spine has disintegrated over time and is now held by an old tape repair. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI did debate whether to get it repaired and restored but as that would make it quite a lot more expensive, I decided to see if anyone would like it as it is. There's quite heavy wear to the leather, with loss to the surface, especially to the board edges and corners. There are also marks and scuffing to the leather. All edges gilt. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eInside, the text block is securely bound with no loose pages. The owner Emma Bolton and others have filled the book with lots of verse\/poetry (approximately 47 pages of writing). There is also one pencil drawing and a stunning illustrated Acrostic. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDimensions approximately 18.8cm x 12.2cm x 1.4cm. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned paper and ribbon.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eI use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable.
