It was written from the perspective of an opinionated matriarch and the book humorously defends the much-maligned mother-in-law trope through social commentary on late-Victorian and Edwardian family dynamics. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt's in very good condition but does show a pronounced forward lean and there is light rubbing to the corners. There is minor marking to the cloth and crushing to the spine ends has caused very minor splitting in the cloth at the tail of the spine. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eInside, there is a stamped name and job title to both the front pastedown and front free endpaper. The free endpapers are tanned. The rest of the pages show light age toning and sporadic foxing. There are occasional cracks to the gutter but the pages remain tightly bound. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDimensions approximately 19.3cm x 13.1cm x 2.5cm. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned paper and string.
