It's faithfully reprinted from the Rare Newcastle edition published in 1784, with the original wood engravings by Thomas Bewick. The book is bound in half Morocco with five raised bands and gilt tooling to the spine. Top edge gilt. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe book is in very good condition with light wear and chipping to the leather and marbled paper. The spine shows the most wear, with some peeling and chipping to the surface of the leather, particularly along the spine edges. There is a split just starting to the bottom of the front hinge. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eInside, the endpapers are marbled and there the pages show light age toning and scattered foxing throughout. There is a penned name to one of the preliminary blank pages and some pencilled writing on the opposite page. The front pastedown has both a name plate and a bookseller's sticker stuck to it. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDimensions of the book are approximately 22.6cm x 15.3cm x 3.1cm. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEvery book purchased will be hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eI use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable.
