So the book is from the early Victorian era. It's bound in full Morocco leather with embossed detail to the boards; there are four raised bands. The edges are all gilt with Gauffered decoration in a Fleur de Lis pattern - which is really striking. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt's in good condition but there is splitting starting to the top and bottom of the front hinge. The corners are worn with slight splitting in the leather, and minor marks to the leather boards. The spine is lightly sunned and rubbed; there is some soiling and dulling to the gilt text block edges. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eInside, the pages show sporadic foxing and age toning. There is a written inscription on one of the preliminary blank pages. There are stunning black and white plates throughout the book. One page sticks out slightly from the edge of the text block but it isn't loose. It's tightly bound - I'm not quite sure why it's sticking out! \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDimensions approximately 17cm x 11.3cm x 4.2cm.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and ribbon.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubbled wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable.
