This stunning vintage edition of Alpine Flowers by L & Prof Dr. C Schroter was Published by Albert Rausten Zurich. The book is undated but I'd estimate it to be early 1900's.
The book is bound in green paper with stunning floral and mountain pictorial decoration to the front board. It's in good condition for it's age, but there is wear and bumping to the corners. The book has a slight backwards lean and there is minor marking to the boards. There is some bumping and light denting to the board edges. The spine ends are crushed.
Inside, there are no inscriptions and the pages show light toning and foxing. All tissue guards are loose and significantly tanned. There is rusting to the staples at the gutter in places.
Dimensions approximately 20.8cm x 13.8cm x 1.2cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
