This beautiful edition of The History of England by Jane Austen was published by The Folio Society in 1993. It is a facsimile of Austen's manuscript, written when she was just 16, and illustrated by her sister Cassandra. The book still has it's original slipcase.
The book is in excellent condition with minimal wear. There is minor marking and soiling to the slipcase.
Inside, the pages are clean and bright with minimal wear - there is something very exciting about reading this book that was written by Austen when she was just 16, and reading the facsimile of the original manuscript in her own hand makes it more special. The pages even show the ink splodges and foxing from the original manuscript.
